Fly on EURO 2012 with “RFID-card”

The international airport "Boryspil" presented experimental method of passing the border control. From 23 of March 2010, all citizens of Ukraine who cross the border through the air terminal "B" Boryspil airport may use E-credit card «RFID», which allows out of turn pass passport control.
State Border Service of Ukraine introduced this innovation within preparation for European Football Championship in 2012. The experiment will continue until the end of June and in July the Government will consider the results of this initiative and will determine the fate of using software system Hart-1 / P ". There is prospect of its introduction not only in Ukrainian airports but also at railway border crossings, and further on road border crossings between Ukraine and Russia and Belarus.
E-card contains passport and personal information. To get it easily on the Terminal "B" first floor works office which with foreign or "internal" passport can be issued «RFID». There is “RFID-cards” cabin for simplified control of the intersection between airlines “Aerosvit” and “Air France”. The card is free, and its processing time is approximately equal to one minute.
On the second floor of the terminal are special "turnstiles" with screen. Card is applied to special areas (you easily recognize its form) and on the monitor will appear clear instructions how to proceed. Within 1-2 minutes the software package “Hart-1 / P” reads the passenger information, checks and captures their data to the database. Then passenger goes through a turnstile and border guard just checks that on photo same person.
Using the electronic cards can be useful in introducing passports with biometric system, which actually replaces the scanned images of person passport data but in higher quality - until the retina. When the state will implement a passport system, automatic card can be inexpensively converted using passports under a new sample.
Meanwhile, guards set up three "turnstile" in the “Boryspil” and waiting for public comments. In assessing the so-called “Inspector-S” will be taken into account idea of the monitors size, graphics, instructions clarity, the machines configuration, opening-closing convenience turnstiles, volume and others.
State Border Service of Ukraine expects all reviews with positive or negative critics to email: contpoint_okpp@pvu.gov.ua. For information about the new service please call 044 281-70-67 from 9 am to 5 pm.
