Calls for FANS! It is your chance to show yourself!

With just over a year to go to UEFA EURO 2012, football supporters and fan groups in Poland and Ukraine are being invited to stage and promote events and activities in the two host countries as part of the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) network's Fans' Action 2011 programme.
Under the Fans' Action 2011 umbrella, FSE will offer financial support to outstanding transnational fan initiatives and projects promoting a positive football-supporting culture, including values such as international goodwill and fair play. The grants will cover activities organised by fans between May and December 2011 in Poland and/or Ukraine.
A major feature of FSE's wider work is the UEFA-backed Fans' Embassies Go East project. FSE – an independent union of European supporters and fan-related groups, initiatives and organisations addressing the interests of fans throughout the continent – is receiving financial backing from UEFA for activities both in the run-up to, and during UEFA EURO 2012, with strenuous efforts being put into the development of fan embassy services for fans travelling abroad to matches.
The particular focus for this year's Fans' Action programme, meanwhile, is joint activities involving supporters in Poland and Ukraine and/or supporters' events and actions taking place in Poland or Ukraine with partners from fan groups in other countries. Interested parties are being invited to tell FSE about planned activities in and around football stadiums and to complete and send the application form (available below) to FSE by 13 March at the latest.
FSE will choose the most interesting and challenging supporters' projects and initiatives, and can be contacted for assistance in planning and implementing such schemes.
The action is open to all Polish and Ukrainian fans, supporters, ultras, fan clubs, fan projects or fan initiatives that agree with the core principles of FSE. The activities have to be held in Poland and/or Ukraine. This can be a single event in or around stadiums or a series of actions in different cities in both countries. Activities have to be scheduled between 1 May and 31 December.

Some of the ways to visit Ukraine

Hello!

Sorry for not writing for such a long time!As far as you know the life brings a lot of things, which absorb not only us but the whole world around.

I want to share some interesting and affordable ideas/facts/options about visiting Ukraine:
1) Volunteering - a really nice way to explore Ukraine as a normal citizen and to stay socially engaged.

My friends, I would be happy to assist you in finding an apartment to live :)

Facilitates on the Poland-Ukraine border?

During the event Euro 2010 organized by Poland and Ukraine, there will be two separate lanes for the guests – said Ihor Tymofiejew, the deputy head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
He also mentioned that the lanes with the symbols of the “Euro 2012″ would be on the Poland-Ukraine frontier crossings: Krakowiec-Korczowa, Szeginie-Medic, Rawa Ruska-Hrebenne and Jagodzin-Dorohusk.
Guests of the tournament can also expect the improvement of infrastructure and the overall throughput of the Ukrainian borders.
Before Euro 2012 Ukraine is going to modernize up to 20 frontier crossings. Apart from the points on the Polish border, the crossings with Hungary, Russia, Belarus, Slovakia and Moldova will be modernized, as well.
Ukrainian customs and border services expect that after the ongoing modernization of the border crossing in Jagodzin, which leads to the Polish Dorohusk, its thourghput will increase by 50 percent.

What does Shevchenko think about Euro 2012 in Ukraine?

Dynamo Kiev star Andriy Shevchenko has expressed his satisfaction with the progress Ukraine has so far made with the preparations for Euro 2012.
"Preparations are going very well. Ukraine has made notable progress over the past five or six months. We are taking it very seriously," Shevchenko was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website.

"It is very important for Ukraine, not only in terms of football development but also for the development of the country and its people. I am confident we will be well prepared; it is a matter of national pride.

"Ukraine is on the rise at club and international levels. I see many positive changes taking place and Ukrainian clubs are competing at the highest level. The fact that Shakhtar Donetsk have qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League is a real achievement.

"We are a young team, working hard preparing for the finals. I am confident the youngsters will perform with dignity at EURO 2012. It's a matter of pride and honour for all of us."

Have an easy Friday! :)
